چکیده

Objective: The focus of this study is on the role glycoproteins in normal thyrocyte activity and pathologies thyroid. Study Design: Observational Place Duration: was carried at Pak International Medical College Hospital from November 2021 to January 2022 Methods: There were 38 patients both genders presented study. Detailed demographics enrolled cases included age, sex body mass index recorded after taking informed written consent. 19 had benign diffuse goiter group I (controls) include II. Using a nonspecific proteomic strategy, such as double difference (2D-DIGE) electrophoresis lattice laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight masses spectrometry, we able determine which proteins present thyroid tissue (MALDI-TOF-MS). Results: Among 92 significantly different between BDG control group, 47 found be elevated 45 lowered (1.5-fold change, ANOVA, p 0.05). Bioinformatics analysis Ingenuity Pathway Analysis has connected dysregulation ERK1/2, Glutathione peroxidase, NADPH oxidase signaling pathways damage, endocrine system dysfunction, cancer (IPA). Conclusion: Low levels thyroglobulin, dysregulated glycolysis, an uptick pro-oxidant peroxidase enzymes proteome with BDG. also finding cytoskeletal proteins, redox glycolytic pathways. Keywords: Thyroid Gland's, Benign Diffuse Goiter, Proteins, Glycosylation

The physiology of thyroid function in pregnancy.

Pregnancy has a variety of effects on maternal thyroid function. Thyroid gland enlargement is common particularly in areas of relative iodine deficiency. The renal clearance of iodine is increased in pregnancy and together with an increased volume of iodine distribution, leads to a low plasma inorganic iodine and thus increases the thyroidal iodine clearance. However, the absolute iodine uptake...

Relationship between Anti-Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody and Thyroid Function Test

Background: Anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody (anti-TPO antibody) is a member of thyroid autoantibodies which are important in inducing and also diagnosing autoimmune thyroid diseases. Thyroid autoimmunity can cause several forms of thyroiditis and abnormal thyroid functions, ranging from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between serum levels of anti-TPO ...
